Shanthi Gonzales

Executive Assistant to the President

Shanthi Gonzales joined our staff in August 2011 as Executive Assistant to the President. She comes to WDN with a wide range of experience in event planning, project management, communications, development, editing, and teaching. She has worked most recently as the Community Development Program Assistant at The San Francisco Foundation, where she coordinated grant-making for the Community Development team and supported a variety of foundation-wide projects.

Most of her career has been spent in the labor movement, and she has worked for both the National Union of Healthcare Workers and SEIU United Healthcare Workers West. Shanthi is currently finishing an MA in Political Science at San Francisco State University and is interested in running for office someday.

In her new role with WDN, Shanthi will be providing administrative and project support to WDN President Donna Hall. She will also be helping to build out WDN’s communications plan and meet our ambitious membership goals. Shanthi is passionate about WDN’s member-driven philosophy that builds community and empowers women donors to effectively support their philanthropic goals.
