Pronita Gupta
Director of ProgramsPronita Gupta joined the Women Donors Network (WDN) in 2007 as the Director of Programs. She is responsible for designing, planning and implementing WDN’s national and regional programs.
Prior to joining WDN, Pronita was the Research Director for Asian Americans/Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy and worked to increase investments in AAPI communities. As the former Research Director for SCOPE, a nationally recognized organizing and progressive movement building organization in Los Angeles, she helped develop their health care jobs campaign. Before that, she was the Living Wage Campaign’s Research Director at the LA Alliance for a New Economy and focused on bringing major public institutions under the purview of the city’s Living Wage Ordinance.
Before moving West, Pronita served as the Executive Director of the Institute for Southern Studies (ISS) and publisher of Southern Exposure magazine. Prior to ISS, she was the Legislative Director of the U.S. Student Association. Pronita has done extensive work in the areas of participatory research, education, health, land use, privatization, labor market analysis and workforce development.
Pronita currently serves on the Boards of the Center for Community Change and Human Impact Partners. She holds an MPA from Columbia University and a BA in Government from Clark University.
